You can browse movies and people that have won prominent awards. For example, you can find out who won the Academy Award for best actor in 1989.

You can filter the years listed in the main window by changing the duration of the timeline. However, the timeline is reset to include all years each time you select a different type of award. For example, if you switch from the Cannes Film Festival to the Academy Awards, the timeline is reset to its maximum range.

<B><I>To search by award:</I></B>
<B>1.</B> Click the button along the left side of the window that represents the type of award for which you wish to perform a search.
<B>2.</B> Click the + sign beside the year for which you want information listed.
<B>3.</B> Click the category for which you want the winner and the nominees listed.
<P>
Note: You can right-click a name or movie title to display information about the selected item.
<P>
<B><I>To display information about a person or movie using the Main Browser: </I></B>
Click the person's name or the movie title.
<P>
<B><I>To change the duration of the timeline: </I></B>
<B>1.</B> Position your cursor over the bar at one of the ends of the ruler.
<B>2.</B> When the cursor changes to a two-headed arrow, drag it to the new location.
<B>3.</B> Repeat steps one and two for the bar at the other end of the ruler.

<B><I>To move the timeline range: </I></B>
<B>1.</B> Position your cursor over the highlighted area of the timeline.
<B>2.</B> When the cursor changes to a hand, drag the highlighted area to the new location.
